  Hi y’all, I’m Emily but I go by Em.  I am from a small town in upstate New York by the name of Greenwich. My town has more cows than people. I am 25 years old, and I come from your typical middle-class, cookie-cutter family, except were missing the ‘white picket fence’. I am luckily enough to have some pretty cool role models – my parents, who’ve been married for 30 years. I graduated with my associates degree in criminal justice from SCCC in May 2014. I went on the further my degree, and graduated with my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from SUNY Delhi December 2016. I have yet to find my position in life, but I am looking forward to the day I do. I know my mission in life is to help others  including animals, so we’ll see where life takes me!

In August 2013, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 21. It was devastating, but everything happens for a reason. I’ve always enjoyed writing, but now more than ever I feel like it can help me collect my thoughts/feelings about not only the world and my experiences, but also to use my diagnosis as a platform to educate others about MS.
